From running to strength training

Why did I change what I was doing?

I had originally taken a break from the gym, and I’m glad I did. I was serious about running and can say I’ve ran 4 marathons(26.2miles), a few half marathons(13.1miles) alongside a few 10ks and 5ks. During my time doing all this I meet some amazing people.

I decided to get back into a routine with fitness, I was trying to workout what gym was for me, which would be ideal to change to strength training.  Once I had joined a gym I knew I  wanted to work on my strength training and start building my muscles.

I then had to decide what my plan would be for the gym. I decided to train 4 days a week while getting my steps, plus doing cardio intermittently. Now that I’ve been training for a while I’ve got a good routine in place with a current calorie deficit the plan to be keep building muscle and go into a calorie surplus.
