How did I get into fitness

How did I start my fitness journey? It originally started by joining a run club because I wanted to get better at running. I then continued to stick with the running and push myself by upping the miles and trying to pbs (personal bests). I then realised I was loving running so I thought it would be a good idea to challenge myself. I started training for my first marathon and now I’ve completed four marathons,  one including a major series marathon - Berlin marathon which was an amazing experience.

After getting into running I then started doing bootcamps which were in a gym and at Barshaw park. I also joined a gym where I could try I push myself and try new things. Going to the gym is a great place to meet new people looking to get out their comfort zone and feel better about themselves.

I had started doing a modern apprenticeship but It didn’t work out well for me. The apprenticeship might not have worked out for me but it made me realise I wanted to do fitness as a career and help people with their fitness. I  Started looking into fitness qualifications, with me  now being a qualified gym instructor, personal trainer, running coach, certain classes and I’m able to train teens.
