My training

People find lots of different ways to train, as we all enjoy doing a variety of things. It's always good to change your training up. A few examples of different things are classes, resistance training and different kinds of cardio.

I've just started marathon training which it'll be my fourth marathon but second time doing Loch Ness. To help with my running I'll be doing strength work and to mix my cross training up I will also be going to some classes.  Even though recently I haven't been on a programme for running I have continued to keep my legs ticking over as well as helping clients start there running career.

I've already been working on my strength training in the gym at iconic.Fitness. People like to train in the gym lots of different ways, the way I've decided to do my training is I’ve done a three way split. However you train in the gym wheather you’ve been giving a programme or you decided yourself what your doing remember to change your programme slightly every 4-6 weeks.

What have I been doing with my training?! I have been working hard on pushing myself on different things for cardio to help with my pace when running and using the resistance machines in the gym. To help with my pace I have been going for time on different distances on the rower and on the treadmill I’m running at 15kph for time which is improving and now to get a bit faster. I recently changed up my programme in the gym. One of the ways I’ve changed my training Is I have added in big lifts. Also using a variety of resistance machines to help with my strength, which keeps improving. I can’t wait to see what’s to come with all aspects of my training.
